So . . . .
After learning that the tube was to be on strike in london, and the chances of not soo friendly public transport (and the fact i did not know what to do in london) i booked a trip to scotland for new years . . .
I read in TNT that it was the best party this side of the alantic!!! IT definately was a blast . . . .
Hogmany, or Snogmany as termed by numerous people (for obvoius reasons) is a large street party in Edinburough... over 100,000 people attend the event and this year PP (tour company) took over 600 ppl.
So the first day, was an early morning, meeting with the bus at 8.30. I think the first boat races hit it off about 9.30...It was a long ride down.
We barely had time to drop our stuff at the hotel, and then it was off to espoinage . . . a cute little place . . . bumped into a lot of friendly people.....cannot really remember what time i finshed there.
The next day was another early start at the corn exchange to celebrate the Kiwi New Year, Then all 4 aussies . . . a couple of hours in between and then to the street party....
Fireworks set off behind Edinborough castle was amazing!!! (and somehow i ended up there later that night).
Sterling Castle was new years day . . . (surprise, suprise, I was ok for this) . . . before a relatively big night at Frankenstein . . . where the demon drink really struck down my senses!!! Argh!!!! Still to determine the actual damage in relation to this (tomorrow night might have the oporutunity to catch up with a certain boy)
Needless to say, unhealthy was definately the way to describe my state of body coming back on Monday . . . but i was an enjoyable trip back . . .
So tomorrow night . . . ?????
